How much does it cost to found a company?

It depends on the chosen legal form, canon of incorporation and other factors. For a standard Business Corporation (Aktiengesellschaft, joint-stock company) having one or two natural persons as founders, in Canton Zug, you should budget CHF 2'000 (plus registration fee commercial register, CHF 800)

What is the minimum share capital?

The limited liability company (GmbH) must have nominal capital amounting to at least CHF 20,000, and must be fully paid in; the joint stock company (AG) must have have a capital stock of at least CHF 100,000, the paid-up share capital must amount toat least CHF 50,000

Do founders have to appear in person?

No, the founders can be represented providing powers of attorney

Do I need a residence and work permit?

The company must be represented by at least one person domiciled in Switzerland and with sole signatory power. This requirement may be satisfied by a member of the Board of Directors orby an external professional manager that we provide.
